Working on a campaign for an established Indian brand is a particular kind of design assignment. The brand is already in the country’s consciousness. Recognition is not the goal. What the campaign needs to do, instead, is bring the brand into a specific conversation, with a specific audience, around a specific message, without disrupting the equity that has been built over decades. Wishbox Studio’s campaign design work for Hero was shaped by this reality.
The Hero campaign needed to communicate a defined message to a target audience through a connected set of marketing materials. As a corporate branding campaign, the work had to extend the existing brand into new creative territory while remaining recognisably Hero. This balance, freshness within continuity, is the central challenge of campaign work for legacy brands.
Wishbox approached the campaign with respect for the brand’s existing visual language and a willingness to push it where the campaign called for new energy. The creative direction was built around a clear central idea, and every campaign element, key visual, supporting imagery, typography treatment and layout system, was developed to reinforce that idea without dilution.
In marketing collateral design at this scale, consistency across executions is essential. The campaign was built as a system, allowing it to flex across formats, print, digital, in-store and event-based applications, without losing the connective tissue that made it read as a single coherent piece of work. Photography, illustration and graphic treatment were calibrated to feel of-a-piece across the campaign’s full extent.
Hero is one of those brands that occupies a particular emotional space in Indian life. People grew up with it. Generations have associations with it. The campaign work needed to feel genuinely fresh without feeling unfamiliar, contemporary in execution while remaining anchored to the brand’s enduring identity. The design team worked closely with the Hero brand custodians to find this exact register, an evolution rather than a rupture.
The target audience for the campaign was clearly defined and the creative work was built to land specifically with this group. Audience-specific design choices, tone, references, photographic style, copy treatment, were made deliberately to ensure the campaign resonated with its intended viewers without becoming inaccessible to the broader brand audience that would also encounter it.
Working with a brand of Hero’s stature requires creative branding services that operate at the intersection of design quality and brand discipline. Every choice is scrutinised, every execution is scaled, and every piece of work becomes part of a larger conversation between the brand and its audience. Wishbox’s role was to bring genuine creative thinking to this conversation while honouring the brand custodianship that any Hero campaign demands.
For legacy brands, campaign design is one of the most important opportunities to stay culturally current. A well-conceived campaign reminds audiences why the brand matters and introduces it to new generations of viewers. Wishbox’s campaign work for Hero was built to do both, with the craft and discipline the brand expects from its creative partners.

Let’s design the strategic positioning that attracts the right opportunities.
