Elementary schooling is the first step in formal education. This is also when core values begin to take shape in kids, and hence parents needs to make crucial decisions. When Manav Sthali Global School approached us to design their school brochure, we took a playful route.
Play is a crucial element in primary learning. It is via play that students develop their analytical skills, motor skills, reflexes etc. We redrafted the copy given by the school in a strategic manner. The headers use a play of words to convey different aspects of the school and its management, for example, ‘Our Ethos’ is accompanied by ‘Playing it fair’. In the brochure spreads, we created a narrative around ‘learning through play’. To communicate this, we illustrated various play-related elements only using basic shapes and four solid colours. The idea was to establish the basic shapes as core values – as the building blocks for larger ideas – brighter futures.
The three things, basic shapes, colours and the concept of play helped us structure the brochure into a seamless fun ride for the readers.
