United Nations Development Programme, or UNDP, is an international organisation working towards battling poverty, reducing inequalities and building resilience for sustained progress across countries. The organisation’s annual magazine, Inspiring India, encapsulates our nation’s most urgent social issues.

Continuing the partnership from 2021, Wishbox designed the 2022 edition of UNDP’s Inspiring India magazine on the theme of inspirational women leaders. The idea was to highlight reformers who are breaking stereotypes and fighting for equal rights for women across India.

We approached the design with a more organic flow, leveraging hand-drawn illustrations, freestyle forms, and the juxtaposition of various elements to depict the nature of femininity, which is free, flowy, and beautiful.
