Taste of Europe: A Delicious Story on Every Page

When the European Union commissioned Wishbox Studio to create the Taste of Europe cook book, the brief wasn’t just to showcase European dishes. It was to celebrate a cross-cultural dialogue, using design as the vessel.

As a creative design agency with deep editorial experience, we knew this project demanded more than layout skills. It required curation, collaboration and craft. Every spread in this 64-page book was hand-illustrated entirely on iPads by different in-house artists, allowing each chapter, be it on French cheese or German sausages, to retain its own distinct flavour and visual rhythm.

The result? A publication that reads like a culinary museum and looks like a European pantry. Our illustrators drew inspiration from vintage travel posters, European art and old cookbooks to create layered, expressive compositions. Every plate, map and ingredient chart was original—no stock, no shortcuts.
As a branding and advertising agency, our role went beyond aesthetics. We structured the book into clear product categories, embedded QR codes to encourage further discovery.
