RISE

Context

RISE is at the forefront of an edtech revolution in higher education and professional certification. They are an innovative, technology-first online campus set up with a mission to encourage and empower students across cities, stratas and societies to be socially and culturally aware leaders of the world.

RISE offers PG Programs in Business Analytics, Data Science, AIML, Cybersecurity, FinTech, Finance & Accounting, and Marketing Research. They also offer a course in Public Policy &Analytics, and a Global MBA. Besides, and more significantly, RISE has scholarships for women in tech and discounted courses for the underprivileged. Each course is affordable and taught by industry experts, thus increasing the chances of employability. RISE has partnered with some of the biggest names in their respective fields, including with KPMG in India for business analytics, data science, and artificial intelligence and machine learning; with Grant Thornton for finance & accounting, and FinTech; with ThriveDX SaaS for cybersecurity; with Aeon Research for marketing research; and with SRH Mobile University (Germany) for a global MBA. But, the purpose goes beyond academic excellence. They intend to transform the fields of technology, data science, analytics, artificial intelligence, public policy, cybersecurity, finance & accounting, FinTech, global business administration, marketing research – and more – and to help propel students into the future.

Communication’s Narrative

As a strategic communication partner, we had implemented a three-pronged communication approach – educate, sustain and evolve to entail our communication narrative. Our efforts were concentrated towards making it a success so that there is a higher brand visibility and recall. Through a balanced mix of PR tools, we created a set demarcation to tap the right audience for its education and corporate vertical. With a vision to shape a worldwide community of thinkers, risk-takers, change-makers, innovators and leaders, RISE is strengthening careers and preparing students for tomorrow’s world. It is this endeavor which has made them inclusive not just in terms of having an online presence and making education accessible to every corner of the world, but also in respect of varied courses, curriculum and pedagogy, which are evaluated by globally-acclaimed faculty and thought leaders.Based out of Pune and boasting an 80-strong team, RISE was founded in April 2021 and is funded by the founders of Maharashtra Institute of Technology World Peace University (MIT WPU). It is targeting, in the coming financial year, a fourfold growth both in the number of courses and students.

Our Approach

WishBox Studio created a strategic public relations plan that began by working closely with the RISE WPU team to build a bonafide plan, identifying a cohesive vision, setting goals and outlining deliverable(s). Wishbox Studio reached out to the right stakeholders at the right time to convey the brand story and gain worthy traction. Keeping the core challenges of the brand in mind, our approach was focused on creating a strong message that narrated the company’s mission that everything RISE does is governed by one ideology: Solve for the customer. The edtech startup wants to see their students succeed, whose success will define the brand’s efficiency in the long term. The goal is to delight the students.The very fabric of the operations, culture and teams is- “Placing the student ahead of the team and the team ahead of themselves.

Outcome

WBS team with strategic PR support was successful in communicating the right message and established RISE as one of India’s leading edtech portals offering innovative, technology-first, and industry-relevant PG Programs and Certification courses. Positioned RISE as a holistic edtech platform offering contemporary programmes in Data Science, Business Analytics, AIML, Cyber Security, Fintech and others. Highlighted RISE’s curriculum design, guided by inter and trans-disciplinary approach incorporating pedagogies that expand learning opportunities, ensuring higher order learning outcomes and providing better placement opportunities. Also, avail the meetings between spokesperson(s) from RISE WPU and the targeted media.
