The lockdown continued for about 75 days and many were on the verge of dying out of boredom. With a compelling urge to step out and start normal life again, there was and still is, a constant fear due to the dreadful news articles we read all day. The limited options most people have are sitting on their balconies or terraces with family members and try to add a little spunk to the same boring routine.

Did you ever imagine yourself enjoying the sight of many many cars parked in front of your apartment? I didn’t and yet I am here gazing down on these metal boxes every morning with a sense of triumph, almost. The fact that these carefully, parallely parked cars are NOT running on the roads creating pollution and congestion is truly satisfying.

Of late, while most of my daytime is spent waiting for the pandemic to get over, I have been keeping my mornings busy. Zoe the crow is my lockdown buddy who visits my kitchen window every morning. Outside the window, I keep a bowl for him with his favourite grains. Everytime he comes, I hide on the other side of the dining table and watch him trying to sneak in. He clearly likes my meal better than his!
