Jugnu

At Wishbox Studio, we developed the brand identity for Jugnu, the signature bar inside Renest Hotel. The challenge was to create a distinctive bar branding concept that would resonate with the hotel’s modern hospitality experience while appealing to a vibrant, youthful audience.

The Name – Jugnu

The name Jugnu (Hindi for firefly) was chosen to capture the spirit of nightlife—energy, light, and fleeting magic. Much like fireflies that glow against the darkness, the bar at Renest was envisioned as the space that lights up the evenings with music, cocktails, and lively conversations. The name makes the bar instantly memorable, culturally rooted, and emotionally resonant.

The Logo Design

For the bar logo design, we crafted a bold, urban visual identity. The elongated typography reflects a sleek, contemporary style, while the distressed texture adds an edgy, rustic touch—perfectly balancing sophistication with nightlife vibrancy. The black-and-white contrast symbolizes fireflies glowing in the night sky, reinforcing the brand story behind Jugnu.

Brand Positioning

Through this branding, Jugnu was positioned as the after-dark soul of Renest Hotel—a place where guests can unwind, celebrate, and create unforgettable memories. For Renest, Jugnu becomes more than just a bar—it is a hospitality brand extension that strengthens the hotel’s positioning as a lifestyle destination.
