An event was held at the India Pavilion, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt at COP27 of UNFCCC on 14 November 2022 where Shri Bhupender Yadav, Hon’ble Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India inaugurated books, calendars, postcards, bookmarks, posters and videos on paintings by Indian school children on sustainable lifestyles!
Students across India participated in a painting competition organized by the National Museum of Natural History, and their paintings were displayed there. Therefore, to curate these paintings for the event, we designed books, calendars, postcards, bookmarks, and screens. The screens were used to display the paintings at the event while the rest of the communications material were given as giveaways to the attendees. To showcase our Indian exclusivity in an event with an international audience, we drew inspiration from Gond art for all the communication materials. The distinctive Indian aesthetic prompted us to choose Gond art. It is created with articulately drawn lines and dots as the method to bring it to life. The colours and motifs were inspired from nature as the entire event was based on sustainable living.
